Introduction
Hello everyone,
I am Jessy, from just outside of Chicago. I just celebrated my 50th birthday this weekend and I have kids ages 24, 22, and 16, all of who live at home.
I have been married for 28 years and we only got the ASD diagnosis 2-3 years ago. I wish I could say that it has made everything better. It is still so hard. My husband actually has an ASD/ADHD diagnosis and I have ADHD.
After many attempts at counseling we finally found a great one who understands both ASD and ADHD well. We are making painfully slow progress but at least we are speaking with someone who is well informed and can interpret what is Autism vs something else.
I am thankful to have found this community!
