Hello my fellow Cassandras!
I’m so happy to find you all! I am having trouble navigating to this site and found my way in through clicking on an email alert that a comment was posted…I hope to figure out how to come here directly!
As for my story…my name is Carolyn and I have 9 kids and a husband who identifies as difficult, lol. He agrees that he is “neurodivergent” and is happy to have a word to use, but is not interested in testing or diagnosis. God has brought us on quite the journey and I found it amazing that Libby’s story so closely paralleled mine in soooooo many ways. Even the terms she uses to describe things and the Bible verses she used were ones I leaned on . I also found Leslie Vernick as I was beginning to emerge from the dark fog and discover who God said I was. The Lord led me into art and music to heal my soul and I entered into a very intimate relationship with Jesus as my bridegroom (as Scripture tells us). I was able to bring to love Jesus through loving my husband. Make no mistake though…even the roses have thorns. I have planned and attempted to leave my husband out of despair many times. We have seen many therapists before I knew what I was dealing with. We have had two in house separations. But God kept showing me that he wanted me to stay. I saw myself as a bird in a cage trying desperately to get out. But God showed me that He wanted me to learn to find my joy while inside the cage. That my joy was not to be dependent on relief from my situation and suffering but in spite of it! Wow…that is HARD. But also so so beautiful. I had prayed for God to change my husband but He changed me. And it is affecting my husband. Things are more stable than ever. He is wanting to make changes in himself but doesn’t quite know how. Every day is a new challenge but I know 100% that finding this group and especially Libby is God leading me to becoming UNCAGED!!! What is next? I can’t wait to find out. 💕

I'll be so excited when I can transfer you all to the new group platform, but for now, we are dealing with the 'entrance issues' on this current platform, which many of you are having, as described by Caroline. If it is telling you to 'Request To Join', just click it, and it will allow you to sign in, I believe. SO sorry for the inconvenience!!!
