Don’t let the sun go down on your wrath

Hello! I am super excited to be a part of this little community with other women in the same situation I am in. So my question today is, how does the Bible verse “do not let the sun go down on your wrath” in Ephesians apply to neurodiverse relationships?

I ask because it doesn’t seem like conflict can be resolved as quickly as normal because of the time it takes the neurodiverse spouse or friend to process. It feels unresolved and is painful to wait on them to process the situation and emotions.

I guess it’s not necessarily wrath I’m feeling, just that things aren’t right between us and I hate it.

I understand and hate it, too. With my neuro typical daughter we can vent and scream and then look at each other and start laughing and continue on with a sense of release and optimism. With my neuro diverse husband he will shut down and that takes a painfully long time. We are coming out of that pause soon and will need to open a conversation regarding the long hiatus so we will see how that goes? I have not even discussed with him yet my discoveries of being in a neuro diverse marriage so I do ask for prayers for God to reveal truth for us both and a promising path forward.
